Former Bachelor star Zac Franich and former Shortland Street star Shavaughn Ruakere are the latest celebs to join Three's Dancing with the Stars.
Franich said he was nervous about getting on the dance floor and back on the telly, but his main drive was raising awareness and money for his chosen charity Live More Awesome, a New Zealand Mental Health Charity working to inspire people to take control of their mental health and live a more awesome life.
Franich has spoken openly in the past about his own struggles with depression, even detailing how suicide has affected his life after the tragic death of his close family friend.
Franich says he has been training hard with a great dance partner and has been adjusting to the lycra outfits as much as he has been getting used to the many kinds of ballroom dancing and the skill involved.
He describes his dance move to date as s like a baby giraffe or elephant.
He says his girlfriend , former Children’s TV presenter Erin Simpson and his family will be his biggest fans in the audience cheering him on.
Meanwhile, Ruakere is most well-known in New Zealand for playing Roimata Samuels in Shortland Street.
She moved to Los Angeles looking for her Hollywood break in 2015, but has been home in NZ since early February spending quality time with friends and family.
