Could there be a transtasman Housewife catfight on the cards?
Three of the seven Real Housewives of Sydney are visiting on Tuesday for an exclusive meet-and-greet at the Jefferson in Fort Lane. That’s Gilda Kirkpatrick’s territory; the very place she launched the second book in her Astarons series.
We hear all our Housewives are meeting their Aussie counterparts.
The show launches February 28 on Bravo, two days after it starts in Australia, and is supposed to be more outrageous than our own version, full of high drama, face lifts and Sydney mega money.
Among those crossing the Tasman is Krissy Marsh, who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. The former model and mother-of-three splits her time between Sydney and Shanghai — where her husband is based for business — and now works as a real estate agent.
“The experience has been far more intense than I ever expected. I’m surprised by how intense and real the drama is. No-one could script what has gone on, this is reality! I have loved the entire experience especially when I have been able to be filmed with my family.” she told Spy.
Beauty queen Nicole O’Neil found her place in the spotlight after taking out the title of Miss Australia. Now, she owns a blossoming event-planning company and has two daughters with her husband, who was a childhood pal. She revealed she had tuned in to watch The Real Housewives of Auckland.
“It was a great show — the women were all fabulous and fun,” O’Neil told Spy.
“I certainly don’t think the actual structure of the show is different but I must add that I think Sydney will be incredible. Not that I’m biased or anything like that!
“I have not been to New Zealand before and am very much looking forward to my visit. I’ve heard Auckland is a beautiful city — I hope that I will be able to experience even just a little of what the country offers, given our very hectic schedule. If not, I’ll have to most definitely come back!”
Victoria Rees is the only single gal in the cast. She is carefree and loving her life socialising with friends and entertaining guests in her Bondi home.
The mum-of-one previously worked as an interior decorator, but now owns a beauty product called Wrinkles Schminkles.
Stay tuned for fireworks.
