Amid all the excitement in Bermuda, the man who backed New Zealand’s first America’s Cup campaign in 1987, Sir Michael Fay, has had a wedding to celebrate in Beverly Hills, California.
Two weeks ago, Fay’s eldest child James married Los Angeles beauty Beau Dunn, a 30-year-old model and visual artist.
Dunn was once the face of Smashbox cosmetics, but is more famous for her contemporary art, particularly her series of Barbie portraits, titled Plastic. She made headlines last week in Life & Style Weekly, when Kylie Jenner spent US$20,000 on her Barbie-inspired art.
The wedding was a family affair with Sir Michael and wife Lady Sarah Fay flying in from Auckland, joining daughters Jessica and former pop recording artist Annabel who, like her brother, is now based in Los Angeles.
Lady Sarah had some competition in the glamour stakes at the wedding — Dunn’s mother Laura is an on-air correspondent for The Jet Set television show and Fashion Director for GENLUX Magazine.

The night before the wedding the couple threw a glamorous party at ultra-trendy West Hollywood restaurant Cecconis.
On the day the bride looked gorgeous in a white lace dress with subtle cut-out detail. A month earlier Dunn had surgery on her knee and on the day wore her crutches with aplomb.
The newlyweds have already started their family: they have two French bulldogs called French and Finn Fay, who have their own Instagram account, of course.
