Lorde has joined the thousands of friends and fans paying tribute to rapper Mac Miller, who was found dead at his Los Angeles home yesterday after an apparent drug overdose at the age of 26.
The Kiwi star shared a throwback photo of the herself with Miller, captioning it: "This was a fun day".
Her message was simple: "Rest easy, crazy kid".
Lorde is the latest of scores of stars who have taken to social media to honour their late friend.
Rapper G-Eazy also paid tribute to Miller during a show in Florida.
He broke down as he dedicated his song 'Everything Will Be OK' to his friend, projecting a photo of Miller onto the screen behind him. He told the crowd: "I swear, life is so f***ing fragile. Appreciate the moment. Be present in it. Tell people you love you care about them."
Chance the Rapper took to Twitter to say: "Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him. (sic)"
Many more have paid tribute since Miller's death was first reported on Saturday morning.
A statement from Miller's family said: "Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans."
It continued: "Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time."
