Jeremy Wells took over Seven Sharp this week and... it might be messing with his head.
Speaking on his Radio Hauraki show, Jerry revealed he'd been visited in a dream by the late Sir Paul Holmes, who hosted the 7pm slot long before Seven Sharp came along.
He recalled: "He was wearing no glasses, he was dangerously sick, he was dying and [we were] being interviewed by him."
"He couldn't walk so he was pulling himself around on the ground and he was so dangerously wasted on morphine...that he was slurring and just had no idea what was going on, he couldn't remember anyone's name."
It's definitely a crazy scene, so what were Jerry's thoughts?
"I kept thinking, is this good TV?" he says.
When asked what he thought the crazy dream meant, Jerry had one immediate takeaway:
"Don't ever get whakamana'd (wasted) when you do the show".
You can hear all about the crazy dream in the video above, and catch Jerry - along with co-host Hilary Barry - on Seven Sharp, weekdays at 7pm on TVNZ1.
