Fans were lining up for a sold-out screening of Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek's new film The Breaker Upperers at SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.
The Twitter account for the film shared a photo of a line stretching down the street outside the Alamo Draft House cinema in Austin.
Sami joked on Twitter: "Ah f***. Can me and Jackie get in?"
Posting on Instagram, van Beek called the premiere "amazing".
The film has opened to rave reviews at the festival, with writer Tori Preston saying it was "the funniest thing I have seen in ages".
Written and directed by Sami and van Beek, the film boasts a stacked line up of New Zealand talent, including Rima Te Wiata, Rose Matafeo, Teuila Blakely, Angella Dravid and Ana Scotney.
The Breaker Upperers hits New Zealand cinemas on May 3.
