No matter what the score at Eden Park last night, Spy can report that key All Blacks pulled out all the stops in limbering up for their first test against the French.
On Wednesday evening Beauden Barrett, Aaron Smith, Tom Franklin and Ryan Crotty all headed to Studio Red Yoga at the City Works Depot in the city.
Spy hears the boys were naturals at hot yoga, a slowed-down Vinyasa-style class featuring long-held poses with attention to alignment and breath, allowing them to tap into their deepest potential. Smith is said to have been the most agile.
The boys in black join other famous faces who have done the downward-dog yoga pose in a heated room, including models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Georgia Fowler, sailor Blair Tuke and Shailene Woodley.
Their injured team mate Sonny Bill Williams is also a big fan. Hot yoga is suiting big men. In the past 12 months, the studio has seen a dramatic increase in male yogis seeing the studio double its male membership. More so now we are sure, thanks to the AB’s.
