The Warriors awarding team captaincy to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the next four years is good news for the struggling club. It’s also good news for Spy as it presents a new sporting It couple.
Tuivasa-Sheck, who famously turned down the All Blacks for the Warriors, and his fiancee Ashley Walker are looking forward to Auckland life, living in the eastern suburbs. The pair are understood to have become engaged on holiday, just before Christmas.
“We’re happy with where we are in Auckland and we really enjoy living here. Being in Auckland was a big factor in my decision,” Tuivasa-Sheck, 24, tells Spy.
“When I was younger, it was about looking after my parents. I feel I’ve ticked that box now. They’re happy in Sydney living in their own place. So now it’s that next step in life where it’s about us, my partner and our family.”
