While there's been no confirmation of who the starring woman might be in a New Zealand version of The Bachelorette, former Bachelor Jordan Mauger has his thoughts on who it should be.
Mauger, who finished the second season of The Bachelor NZ without a leading lady, was asked his opinion on the matter during a live chat with Woman's Day last week.
And rather than opting for one of the two finalists on The Bachelor NZ, Fleur Verhoeven and Naz Khanjani, Mauger said he believed the third- and fourth-placed Bachelorettes would be better suited for the spinoff series.
"It's gonna be a toss up between Gabs [Davenport] and Erin [Higgins].
"I think between Gabs and Erin you've got an amazing Bachelorette. One of those two girls will be key – [they'll] be on point."
Although MediaWorks hasn't commented on a New Zealand version of The Bachelorette, it's believed the hunt is already on for eligible bachelors to compete on the show.
A broadcasting industry source told the Herald on Sunday in May that producers may have to look to Australia for potential love interests for whomever the Bachelorette turns out to be.
