The Block NZ stars Cat Glass and Jeremy Hill are getting hitched.
It was revealed in Woman’s Day that the DIY couple are ready to tie the knot.
The Taranaki couple’s proposal took place at a Nelson winery where they were away celebrating their six-year anniversary together.
Hill admitted that he was “surprisingly nervous” before asking Cat to be his wife “but thankfully the wines were kicking in.”
Glass says: “We’ve been going out for so long, I’d sort of stopped waiting for it to happen, so I was in total shock.”
“I didn’t even give him a straight answer. In the end he actually had to ask me, ‘does that mean it’s a yes?’”
Jeremy had been hiding the diamond ring at his parents’ house in New Plymouth and picked it up before the couple went to the South Island on holiday.
Cat and Jeremy credit their rock-solid relationship to the time they spent on The Block NZ where they tied for second place in the fourth season of the show.
“We might be the only couple to say it, but we only have found memories of our time on the show… we aren’t perfect but no matter what comes our way, we know we can’t be broken” says Cat.
