A girl dressed as a hotdog made headlines around the world - and caused one local TV presenter to lose control.
Laura McGoldrick did a Hilary Barry today while fronting a NZH Focus bulletin about a young girl who wore a hot dog outfit to a dance class for princesses.
The presenter struggled to compose herself, cracking up constantly and requiring several reshoots to get through the segment.
The story, about five-year-old Ainsley from North Carolina, quickly went viral when photos of her dressed as a sausage in a bun covered in mustard were posted on Buzzfeed.
Holly Springs School of Dance teacher Sarah Nativi shared the photo to Twitter because "it was so innocent and cute".
"I was so impressed with how confident a little girl could be with herself to just wear whatever she liked the best," she told BuzzFeed.
McGoldrick seemed to love the story so much it's surely just a matter of time until she finds a hotdog costume of her own.
