Expect the skies above Clevedon to be buzzing today — Spy understands a record number of helicopters have been booked to deliver the well-heeled to the 40th Land Rover Polo Open.

With the hill and bars expected to be packed with eager spectators, the invitation-only Land Rover Club House and Veuve Clicquot Marquee are the places to be seen.

The two-storey Club House will ensure a welcome breeze and the best view of the action on the field, while the Clicquot Marquee is famous for its annual themes, inspired by global Veuve Clicquot Polo festivities.

This year’s fabulous new Rosé Garden theme has been brought to life by innovative floral designer Millie Austin of La Femme Fleur. Guests include Rhythm and Vines founder Hamish Pinkham and Newshub’s Samantha Hayes, designer Kate Sylvester and Veuve Clicquot ambassador Kathryn Wilson.

If you can’t make it to Clevedon today, Veuve Clicquot is extending the Polo Open glam to Auckland city for the first time. The Veuve Clicquot Rosé Garden will pop-up at the Ostro Bistro for three weeks from Wednesday.

A highlight of the day will be the Land Rover v horse race.
