It was unusual for The Block NZ to have two sets of siblings, included in that — one set of twins. And while sisters Julia and Ali Heaney and brothers Levi and Zachary Inglis aka Ling and Zing, have been hammering it on The Block, their elder siblings have been expecting their new nieces and nephews.
The first niece of 28-year-olds Julia and Ali was born in June and is the first in the next generation for the Heaney siblings. She is the daughter of the twins’ older sister, Elizabeth.
“It’s special to be an aunty, but we have been so busy with The Block that we’ve only been able to meet our niece a few times,” Ali told Spy.
“When we have finished our Block house, we are looking forward to playing with her, getting to spoil her, and dressing her up.” She added.
Ling, 22 and Zing, 24, are also due to be uncles for the first time. Big brother Sam’s child is due in the next few weeks, and the pair are understandably excited — the three brothers are all best mates. In their limited breaks from building, it’ll be a bit harder to meet the newborn though, as Sam is based in Christchurch.
We hear tips on babies from the parents on The Block have been most welcome.
