We are of the understanding that many of you are now back in the office after a couple of weeks of fun in the sun.
So what better time to compare and contrast what the stars are still up to in what feels like a never-ending parade of beaches, cocktails and expensive adventures?
Logan Dodds and Dani Robinson
These two lovebirds were chasing the sunshine in Queensland just a week ago, working on some serious tan lines at Broadbeach.
The duo have since moved on to Rarotonga for a bit of rest and relaxation. Hot weather? Check. Clear, blue seas? Check. Cocktails while floating in said clear, blue seas? Check. These guys are doing it right.
Envy factor: 9/10
Beauden Barrett and Hannah Laity
Before the world's best rugby player of 2016 gets stuck into another season of Super Rugby, he and his girlfriend have escaped to Fiji.
Beauden Barrett and Hannah Laity are currently holed up at the Likuliku Lagoon Resort and it looks positively idyllic.
Might this be the location for the marriage proposal Spy predicted over the weekend?
Envy factor: 8/10. They lose a point due to Laity's Instagram pic of a run in the intense Fiji heat. We do not envy that.
The Real Housewives of Auckland
You didn't expect some of New Zealand's wealthiest reality TV stars to be slumming it at a campground with shared bathroom and cooking facilities, did you? Nope, it's lavishly expensive holidays all the way, thanks very much.
Louise Wallace has been State-side, with trips to the bright lights of Vegas and some snowy slopes.
Envy factor: 7/10. We're sure it's all very decadent, but summer is not the time for a chilly skiing holiday.
"Champagne Lady" Anne Batley Burton has spent the last few days at that old bastion of North Island luxury, Taupo's Huka Lodge.
"Looking forward to a lovely couple of days at Huka Lodge! At my favourite Suite 13 where my ducks come to visit," she told her Instagram fans.
And the ducks were kind enough to oblige her with a visit, too.
Envy factor: 8/10. As per usual, Batley Burton hasn't been seen without a champagne flute in her hand. And she's obviously been to Huka Lodge enough times to have a favourite suite. Enough said.
Michelle Blanchard, meanwhile, looks to be opting for a stay-cation in Auckland.
But even that still includes top seats at the ASB Classic, sun-drenched days on Waiheke Island and travel by seaplane.
Envy factor: 7/10
Jay-Jay and Dominic Harvey have put a rocky 2016 behind them, kicking the New Year off with a bang with a whistle-stop tour of the Caribbean.
Starting off in Cuba, where they were "Havana good time" according to Dominic’s best dad joke, the broadcasters then moved on to the home of the offshore bank account, the Cayman Islands.
They finished up the holiday this week in Jamaica, where some gift shop purchases saw them ready for a white-themed party in Montego Bay.
Envy factor: 7/10. Looks like an awesome holiday, but points lost for those white linen pants.
Melanie Homer and Sacha McNeil
These two broadcasters have both achieved the impossible this summer: Making the family holiday look positively idyllic, when the reality is often anything but.
Homer and her crew have been sailing in Northland, where it's been nothing but blue skies, swimming and outstanding scenery.
Envy factor: 7/10
McNeil also chose to head north, sharing this shot of the quintessential Kiwi holiday park which must conjure up fond childhood memories for many.
Envy factor: 6/10. Pretty, but too many shared bathroom facilities for our liking.
Israel and Daisy Dagg
This All Black and his cookbook author wife are making the most of some holiday time before the arrival of their first baby later this year.
The pair hit an old favourite haunt of theirs, Lake Waikaremoana, and enjoyed being off the grid for a few days. Props to Daisy for managing a hot summer hike while 25 weeks pregnant. Phew!
Envy factor: 7/10
Celebrity cook Chelsea Winter, meanwhile, has gone off the grid over on Great Barrier Island.
Holidaying with her husband and dog for a month (a MONTH), Winter told her Instagram followers she has been swimming with dolphins, surfing and learning how to knit. And cooking in her bikini.
Envy factor: 9/10. We are envious of both the entire month off playing in the sun, and of being able to look like this in a bikini and apron.
Finally, we have the escapades of the nation's very own supermodel, Rachel Hunter.
Home for Christmas for the first time in more than 25 years, Hunter has been reliving childhood memories while on a road trip up north.
There have been beaches, diving down sand dunes, horses, gorgeous sunsets, ancient kauri forests, fish and chips, ice creams and picking strawberries.
Hunter told her Instagram followers the holiday was having a "grounding effect".
"[This] has given me a lot of clarity of feeling very comfortable, joyful & happiness in my mind & body." (sic)
Whatever the effect, Hunter looks as sun-kissed and carefree as she did during her very first modelling job for a now iconic ice cream commercial all those years ago. How happy does this woman look picking strawberries? We want whatever she’s having.
Envy factor: 10/10. Hunter proves paradise is on our very doorstep.
I used to do this as a child.Yet again evoking memories. Having not been down for Christmas in 27 years or so, all these moments are tumbling back . The grounding effect that has happened to my mind & body , clearly spirit to, has given me a lot of clarity of feeling very comfortable, joyful & happiness in my mind & body. Where ever you are from ,whatever country, it's our home ✨ Respect and Love for this New Year🙏🏼
