What do you do when you're a Hollywood star in New Zealand? Catch up on Real Housewives of Auckland, of course.

Or at least that's what Ruby Rose is doing.

The Orange is the New Black star found out about New Zealand's version of the reality show and immediately logged on to Twitter to express her excitement.

Rose is currently in Glen Eden, Auckland filming a movie about a giant prehistoric shark attack with British action star Jason Statham.

The star has also taken to Instagram during her time in New Zealand to share snaps from on set, recently posting a picture of herself in an interesting outfit.

Wearing an ensemble of bathers, a wetsuit, bathrobe, faux fur jacket and the iconic Aussie ugg boots, the actress joked "who needs fashion week when the world is my run way."

A well-known advocate of animal welfare, Rose shocked fans by wearing the ugg boots, which some people commented are not animal friendly. Rose updated her caption to the original photo by adding the edit: For everyone freaking out about the uggs or asking why have a faux jacket and real uggs.. The 'set' provided, but the jacket I do own. That is why I say 'faux fur jacket' because I own it an predict the question in advance. I don't own/didn't buy things I wear on film sets. Stop being so crazy.

Later on, Rose posted another photo highlighting the outfit, but also showing the swimming pool where some of the movie will be shot. The pool is rumoured to be the West Wave in Henderson.

Oh god I hate heights haha here we go #meg
