My Kitchen Rules stars Pete Evans and Manu Feidel have opened up about rumours that they hate each other.

Speaking with ZM’s Fletch, Vaughan and Megan, the celebrity chefs say they are still great mates – despite recent news stories claiming the pair can’t stand each other.

“We still go out to dinner or lunch together if we are in the same town. We are mates and a lot of people just can’t get that through their head that we’re actually mates” says Pete, who earlier called the feud reports “fake news”.

The pair are in town promoting the latest series of My Kitchen Rules, which is currently screening on TVNZ2. They have also been filming the New Zealand version of the series, which is due to screen later this year.

Awesome to catch up with this handsome gentleman again!

Speaking to Newstalk ZB’s Andrew Dickens, the pair got into a heated discussion about recent Women’s Day claims.

Manu says: “It’s a magazine that tells lies about everybody.”

Pete adds: “I mean, who reads this stuff that actually thinks it’s real."

“I just think it’s a new job now to employ people to create new stories … but 99.9 per cent is fake news,” says Manu.
