Local heart-throb Martin Henderson is back on the set of Grey's Anatomy, filming season 13. Henderson, who plays heart surgeon Dr Nathan Riggs is currently on NZ screens in his first role on the medical drama.

Henderson's character has a checkered history with Dr Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) from their previous time together in the armed forces. So far this season we have seen him help cure a young boy with tumours on his hands to being punched by Hunt.

The handsome actor has posted several photos to his Instagram account showing the fun he's having with his new cast members. He added a cute black and white shot with co-star Caterina Scorsone who plays Dr Amelia Shepherd, the younger sister of McDreamy Dr Derek Shepherd who died last season. He captioned the photo with "back on duty with @caterinascorsone S13 is gonna be a fun ride! I love making this show with such nice people."

Although, not everyone on the set is impressed with his antics

We're loving seeing a Kiwi on a successful American show and hope that he doesn't get killed off too soon!
