Congratulations to former rugby league and TV star Matthew Ridge and model and caterer Chloe Alexa Liggins who were married at an intimate ceremony for 30 at a Ponsonby house last Friday night.
The French-born bride looked beautiful in a white lace sleeveless dress with plunging neckline and the groom was handsome in a grey marl jacket over a black waistcoat and trousers.
The couple were married on the curtained-off deck with guests cheering them on from the garden.
Ridge’s children with former wife Sally, 47, were proud as punch of their dad. Jaime, 23 and Boston, 19, posted photos to social media the next day, posing up in their finest with Ridge.
Ridge’s son London, 8, with former partner Carly Binding, 36, looked adorable, and one of Ridge’s best friends, former League star Brent Todd, was also in attendance.
The bride is director of Canapes and Co, a boutique catering company making a name for itself around town. She went to King’s College and later studied at the University of Auckland.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at Mantells on the Water.
The simple ceremony says much about the loved-up newlyweds, and we wish them well for the future.
