Matilda Rice is proving she’s more than simply a winning Bachelorette.
Rice, 25, melted Bachelor Art Green’s heart two years ago — and now, with looks to die for and a warm, friendly personality, she’s become the in-demand celebrity for many brands. Probably not that surprising given her massive social media influence — she has more than 100,000 Instagram followers.
Rice, nick-named Matoodles and Miss Matty, is so sought after she left her TVNZ sales job late last year.
“Life has been pretty hectic since The Bachelor, and I don’t get a lot of down time these days juggling work with other various events and obligations,” she told Spy.
“That being said, it’s an amazing feeling being able to work with such fantastic brands and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
This week, the face and body of Jockey launched its “Weekender” range, and she has also been named Kiwi ambassador for Colgate Optic White. The Australian ambassador is former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.
Expect to see Rice hosting an event at Ellerslie during Cup Week, a new job she will take in her stride. Her boyfriend won’t be hosting with her but will instead be cheering her along, as she did last week when he completed the Coast to Coast.
“When your own personality is a ‘brand’ in a sense, it can be a little overwhelming and scary — but I love showing people that you don’t need to take yourself so seriously, that you can still have fun, and I think people can relate to that,” she told Spy.
Rice is being repped by Green’s agency Red 11, where he’s been since before his Bachelor role.
Matilda and Art.
“We are really proud of Matilda, she just keeps going from strength to strength with her brand appeal and integrity. Art Green is an amazing talent scout,” agency owner Mandy Jacobsen told Spy.
“There are many more opportunities soon to be announced for Miss Matty and we couldn’t be happier for her.”
All of this brand power and the two haven’t even announced an engagement yet!
