The world premiere of Richie McCaw's movie Chasing Great took place at the Civic in Auckland last night.

Lorde made a very inconspicuous appearance, in fact hardly anyone knew that she was there. Lorde, whose cover of the Tears for Fears song Everybody Wants to Rule the World features in the movie, clearly didn't want to be in the limelight and she managed to blend in with the crowd.

Only Ted Dobbs, son of Working Style owner Chris, managed to score a photo with the singer/songwriter.

Hey Lorde this is lovely but where's the great man ? @dobbs_ted_ @lordemusic @richie.mccaw thanks so much for the selfie Lorde

Meanwhile, star of the movie McCaw and partner fiancee Gemma Flynn arrived in style in a chauffeur driven car, which complemented their glamorous outfits.

Also spotted on the night was Real Housewife Angela Stone who attended with a gal pal.

Fellow housewife and current fan favourite Gilda Kirkpatrick was also there and got a little starstruck when she managed to grab a selfie with the man of the moment Richie.

Me & Richie McCaw the greatest of all times #GOAT #TeamGilda #RHOAKL 👊🏼

No word yet on whether Gilda and Angela sat together during the screening.
