KJ Apa is on the brink of truly breaking out in America, and he's just had some news to sweeten the deal.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Apa has signed up with United Talent Agency, one of the biggest American talent agencies.
Apa will be represented by agents who also work alongisde Mariah Carey, Angelina Jolie, Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Radcliffe.
The news is excellent for Apa, who this week will see two major projects go to air.
Riverdale, a modern adaptation of the Archie comics, premieres on Netflix tonight. Apa stars as Archie Andrews, portraying the comic icon as a more brooding, troubled hero.
The former Shortland Street actor will also be seen on the big screen in the book adaptation A Dog's Purpose, about a dog's journey through multiple different lives.
The movie has been hit with backlash though after TMZ leaked footage from behind the scenes showing a dog being forced to perform a water stunt.
Producers behind the movie have since slammed it, saying that it was edited and misrepresents what happened.
While it may not be the big screen debut anyone would have wanted - with only 30 per cent approval on RottenTomatoes - Riverdale's global debut is bound to make Apa an overnight hit!
