LA-based Kiwi designer Trish Peng is set to make a splash on the red carpet.

Peng has been doing business stateside for a year, so expect to see some of the world’s most popular entertainers step out in style in her gear at award ceremonies, including the Grammys and Oscars, on February 12 and February 26 respectively.

“Working on one-off bespoke dresses for major entertainment names has its pressures,” an excited Peng told Spy.

“Fingers crossed I nail it with the right stars.”

There is no word yet on who could be wearing Peng’s fashion winners.

She recently met an array of celebrity stylists, including Rob Zangardi and Judy Kaufman. Zangardi works with some of the biggest music and acting names, including Jennifer Lopez, Lily Collins, Ciara, Shakira and Rachel McAdams. Kaufman, also a swimwear designer, has close connections with the Kardashians and Jenners.

In December, Peng made the December issue of LA modern luxury bible Angeleno Magazine, being named one of 30 Dynamic Women in LA. She was selected alongside well-known and successful lawyers, realtors and designers, such as fellow designer Kimora Lee Simmons.

Peng is juggling red-carpet fittings with her bread and butter — and passion — bridal, where she has well-heeled clients on both sides of the Pacific.

In Los Angeles, VIP customers are transported via UberLUX to Peng’s Silver Lake showroom The Atelier and are treated to Champagne and high tea with each consultation. The showroom boasts 360-degree views of LA, taking in the Hollywood Hills and beyond.
