Real Housewives of Auckland star Julia Sloane has revealed she's a huge fan of getting Botox, saying it's become such a regularity it's just as small a deal as going in to get a wax.
The 47-year-old told the Woman's Day she wasn't embarrassed about it, saying "if you're going to do it, why hide it?"
"I don't give a damn what people think. Some days I do miss how I looked in my 30s, though, but I'd need a face-lift if I wanted to revert back to that."
But while she's happy with minor procedures like Botox and fillers, Sloane isn't about to run off and go under the knife. She says she's simply trying to help slow the aging process, so as not to "age disgracefully".
Sloane recently caused a stir on Real Housewives of Auckland when she underwent a "vampire facial" on the show, in which blood is taken and then re-injected into the skin - the plasma from the blood supposedly promotes collagen and elastin growth for smoother skin.
She had the treatment - previously made famous by Kim Kardashian - on her neck, and proceeded to spend the episode worrying over whether it looked ok.
And while she's not shy about what treatments she's undergone, Sloane did take an opportunity to dish the dirt on her slightly less open Housewives cast mates, saying "everyone knows" Louise Wallace has had cosmetic work done and she wouldn't be surprised if Gilda Kirkpatrick hadn't either.
But then again, "It's so common these days. In Auckland, getting Botox is just like booking in for a wax".
