Toni Street and her Hits co-hosts Sarah Gandy and Sam Wallace will be popping the champagne corks tonight as they celebrate another great result in the latest radio survey.
The trio has once again grown The Hits breakfast audience in Auckland, after they took over the prime time slot in February this year.
ZM’s Fletch, Vaughan and Megan will also be joining the celebrations as they cement their place as New Zealand’s most popular breakfast show with Kiwi millennials.
The team has grown its lead over Mai FM, The Rock and The Edge to dominate the breakfast slot with Kiwis aged 18-34.
And not to be left out, ZM’s Jase and PJ also took top honours with millennials as the most listened to drive show with Kiwis aged 18-34. The perennial pranksters have grown their audience to overtake The Edge, according to the GFK survey.
Meanwhile, it’s bad news for George FM, which has lost a quarter of its Auckland audience, dropping more than 20,000 listeners in the key market.
Former George FM shock jock Thane Kirby left the station this year to take over The Rock drive slot, where he is also failing to fire, losing close to 10,000 listeners.
