There may not have been any romance in the second season of The Bachelor NZ, but it's clear several strong friendships have been born out of the show.
Many of the Bachelorettes have been spotted out and about together since filming ended on the latest series, and now two of them are holidaying together.
Series winner Fleur Verhoeven, who was dumped by Bachelor Jordan Mauger just days after the show's finale, and fellow contestant Shari Flavall have escaped New Zealand's current inclement weather and hit Fiji.
And according to their social media accounts, it's been a holiday of drinks by the pool – and getting corn rows in their hair.
The Bachelorettes' holiday is taking place in the same week that Mauger spoke to Woman's Day about his experiences since the show ended.
He told the magazine he was disappointed Verhoeven revealed their split in a tearful interview with TV3's Story the day that it happened.
"That's the part that hurts because I had no idea Fleur was going to do that interview. If I had been approached ... I would have been there next to her," he said.
Mauger also claims Verhoeven wasn't truthful in her post-show interviews, saying he was open and honest about the fact he was having doubts about their relationship.
"To have a broken heart, you have to be in love first. And we definitely weren't in love.”
