Reality TV show Million Dollar Listing, which follows the personal lives and major deals of real estate tycoons, is about to get a lot more Kiwi exposure.
The New York version has been spun off into LA, San Francisco and Miami episodes, and there’s been speculation a Kiwi version is on the cards after Spy revealed earlier this year that several local agents had been shoulder-tapped by the Bravo channel, which airs the show.
Ray White Real Estate extraordinaire and boyfriend of Chrystal Chenery, Ricky Cave, Boulgaris Realty’s Michael Boulgaris and Graham Wall Real Estate’s Graham Wall were approached, but things went quiet soon after.
But are they about to ramp up?
This week, the star of Million Dollar Listing New York, broker Ryan Serhant, 32, announced on Instagram to his half million followers, that he would be honeymooning in Queenstown next month.
Serhant married long-time love Emilia Bechrakis in a decadent wedding on the island of Corfu, and the wedding is currently being screened on Bravo in NZ in a three-part series. The cake alone cost $10,000.
A few snapshots of Queenstown taken by him should see some million-dollar listings happen overnight.
Bravo NZ would not release details of any new series but was pleased to see Serhant would be Down Under.
Spy reckons Serhant’s visit will be just the nudge Bravo needs to push “go” on a Kiwi version.
