Neighbours is facing an unclear future on British television after 31 years on air.

The popular programme has kick-started the careers of many of our much-loved entertainers over the years - some who have gone on to earn millions according to Daily Mail.

But as the Australian soap is facing the axe, after contract talks between the producers and Channel 5 have reportedly stalled, could that mean that the show will no longer be a springboard for worldwide fame?

The series has already made huge international stars of cast members who started out as residents of Ramsay Street, but who is the richest?

Let's have a look at the stars who have gone on to amass multi-million pound fortunes - from a singing sensation to an Oscar-winning actor - to find out who is the wealthiest after getting their big break on the show.
